ABOUT PAUL WREN
With over ten years of experience in the VFX industry, I have developed a strong eye for detail, a keen sense of aesthetics, and a deep understanding of rendering and pipeline technologies. I have worked on several high-profile projects, such as Kingdom of the Planet Apes, Avatar: The Way of Water and multiple Marvel projects. I have experience working with various software packages, including Katana, Maya, Houdini and Nuke and have used a range of renderers such as PRMan, Manuka, V-Ray, FREAK, Arnold and Mantra. Most recently I was a Lighting Technical Director at Wētā FX, where I collaborate with a talented team of artists and supervisors to create realistic and captivating lighting effects for feature films. I am also responsible for optimizing and troubleshooting scenes, as well as mentoring and supporting other lighting team members. I am passionate about delivering quality work and constantly learning new skills and techniques.
