I started with SCIEX in 2011 after 30 years owing and or running contract laboratories providing environmental, bioanalytical and special analyses. After five years as a field applications chemist I moved to market development to utilize my experience with laboratories in helping to develop our existing customer base and to expand into new opportunities such as cannabis.

ABOUT PAUL WINKLER
I received a B.A. in chemistry from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1978. I worked in the power generation industry for 3 years before going back to graduate school where I got a Ph.D. in Analytical chemistry in 1986. After graduate school I was the mass spectrometry laboratory director for Dow Chemical\'s western region. I left that position to work for an instrument company to develop an LC/MS interface. In 1990 I moved back to Colorado and worked for the next twenty five years in the field of environmental analysis with an emphasis on method development and non-routine applications of existing promulgated methods. Much of this work was in direct support of DOE and DoD projects. The last 13 years of my career was spent working for an instrument company that manufactured mass spectrometers. I was an applications chemist working to help customers solve their analytical challenges and then moved into marketing where I was responsible for the environmental, food, beverage and cannabis markets in North and South America. I retired in 2021 but still do some consulting work from time to time and am especially interested in situations where real analytical expertise is required or where my experience building market share can be applied.
