Broad experience across a variety of civic, residential, masterplanning and regeneration projects, including:• Leading the planning submission for two new sustainable housing schemes on council-owned sites in the heart of Croydon for Brick by Brick.• Preparing the approved planning submission and developed design for a new Civic Centre and public realm strategy for Harrow Council, supporting and enhancing a wider regeneration strategy for Harrow and Wealdstone.• Developing the approved planning submission for Waltham Forest Civic Centre, establishing principles for the Town Hall masterplan and the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Town Hall.• Delivering the concept design and approved planning submission for 300 new sustainable homes for Lendlease, as part of the first phase of the Silvertown Quays masterplan.• Developing a comprehensive placemaking strategy and conducting capacity studies to inform the key design and planning principles for Old Oak, a new urban district of approximately homes between Willesden Junction and North Acton.• Contributing to the detailed design for the refurbishment of Woolwich Old Town Hall and Library, providing new sustainable, modern, flexible and affordable workspace in the heart of Woolwich town centre.• Developing the detailed design for the refurbishment of Dome House, an adaptive reuse proposal for a heritage building in the heart of Spitalfields, to provide low-impact, contemporary workspace.

ABOUT PAUL WILD

Paul has over a decade of experience leading complex projects at a range of scales for both public and private sector clients across London. He has a passion for designing healthy and sustainable environments that enhance the way people live and work. He is committed to reducing the built environment’s contribution to the climate crisis and is a knowledgeable advocate for sustainability within practice, academia, and the wider construction industry.Paul joined Gort Scott Architects in 2016, where he developed a specialist understanding of civic projects. He has worked with Waltham Forest, Greenwich, and Harrow councils on a variety of public buildings aimed at enhancing and regenerating their boroughs. He has also led the design, placemaking strategies, and community engagement for numerous housing schemes for clients including Lendlease, the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC), and Brick By Brick. Paul is a certified Passive House Designer and an active member of Gort Scott’s Environmental Action Group.Prior to Gort Scott, he contributed to several award-winning commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects at leading design-led practices, including Piercy & Company.Paul is an active mentor for both the RIBA and the Social Mobility Foundation, and has taught as a visiting tutor at Kingston University, London Metropolitan University, The Bartlett (UCL), and the University for the Creative Arts (UCA).
