About Paul Tuttle
Paul has worked in research administration, proposal development, and research development since He began in university research administration at three public universities in North Carolina, including two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), where he-at the first-identified appropriate funding opportunities and-at the second-managed university-wide sponsored program proposal development, identified and distributed funding opportunities, and provided targeted grantsmanship training. Next, at Hanover, Paul assisted clients with grant proposal development by writing proposal abstracts and narratives, offering strong editorial guidance and revision, and providing strategic consultative services. He then returned to North Carolina A&T as the Director of Proposal Development. As of January 10, 2022, he has returned to Hanover as a Grants Consultant.Paul holds a BA in English and an MA in English with a concentration in Rhetoric and Composition. His background in persuasive writing has enabled him to assist researchers in securing over $180 million in awards to date, mostly from federal sources such as the U.S. Department of Education (ED), National Science Foundation (NSF), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and various Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) agencies, including the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). His efforts have also helped to secure awards from national foundations such as Kellogg, Mellon, and RWJF as well as other federal agencies, state agencies, professional associations, and national, corporate, family, local, and community foundations.
