I am responsible for operational controls across 400 stores, with a remit to ensure that stores are compliant to company policy and drive maximum profitability. By interrogating company data, I identify opportunities for improvement and, through my team of 3 Loss Prevention Advisors, act accordingly to address the concerns. Coaching, training, and raising awareness across store teams and field managers, I have improved skillsets, which has produced a reduction in losses, more operationally robust stores and in turn, an increase in sales. All investigations into wrongdoing and breaches of policy across my Divisions are completed by me. I am heavily involved in the ongoing creation and review of company policies, ensuring any change to process has the appropriate policy in place. I am responsible for the company’s CCTV operation, from design and implementation to maintenance and ensuring GDPR compliance. Through this, I have introduced new suppliers and systems to the business, which has resulted in enhanced security systems being installed in high-risk stores. I also head up the distribution centre audit team, consisting of 2 Audit Managers and 6 Audit Assistants. This team provides key information that is benefitting DC operations, field management and stores. Through their work, stock and BBE controls have improved, external vendor claims have reduced, and stores have confidence in delivery accuracy. As well as this, the team ensures that the company is compliant with our external auditors.
