During the past 12 years, I\'ve added responsibilities to my plate and am now serving as Department Chair at Bellarmine College Prep. I\'ve enjoyed seeing students apply their education in ways that support social and environmental justice causes. As Service Learning Coordinator for our Immersion program, I significantly increased our service trip offerings and subsequent outreach increased from 30 to 300 participants! It was gratifying to scale such an important system to positively affect global service efforts. I have managed and coordinated logistics as the chair of Human Dignity Summit, which is focused on raising awareness of human trafficking and global injustice. Efforts to highlight the Summit resulted in attendance growing by 50%. In response to student surveys and conversation, it became apparent to me that we needed to offer a Wilderness Retreat to model environmental justice in our tech-centric world. I rebooted an existing program and developed the curriculum. During the retreat, we studied environmental justice and encouraged positive global change.Additional Expertise and Daily Tasks Include: Strategic planning Pedagogy and assessment Educational Project creation Staff management Developing Continuing Education opportunities
