Provides technical guidance to underwriters on Equipment Breakdown insurance underwriting, to ensure consistent application of corporate guidelines, quality and timely service, as well as effective control of insurance risks.1. Provide technical guidance and coaching to underwriters to ensure consistent application of corporate guidelines. Builds and maintains productive business relationships with underwriters and managers through the regular communication of issues, development and delivery of training related to Commercial Insurance.2. Conducts audits of underwriting accounts submitted by the branches for quality control purposes, provides recommendations and reports on findings.3. Participates in the development and delivery of technical training programs, presentations and marketing material to underwriters, managers and brokers.4. Develops, reviews and updates technical policy wordings and Equipment Breakdown manuals as required.5. Contributes to the development of new products and corporate guidelines to effectively control insurance risks and positively impact profitability.6. Reviews and approves, modifies or declines Branch referrals that are made on accounts beyond the underwriting authorities of our branches.7. Maintains a working knowledge of industry issues, market trends and competitive developments.8. Assists the Corporate CL Manager with the development and maintenance of computer software and database information. This includes the coordination of system upgrades, improvements to reporting formats, and development of new system applications.
