ABOUT PAUL SMITH

I bring 15 years of hands-on experience in the development and production of refractory nozzles and flow control applications. I started in the early days of Pyemetric Refractories and continued through its acquisition by Capital Refractories. My focus has been on high-performance products: erosion-resistant alumina foundry nozzles, precision zirconia atomising systems, and custom carbon-bonded ceramic filters. In recent years I\'ve been heavily involved in dry vibration linings, castables and pre-cast ceramic shapes, providing expert guidance on material selection, installation and melting process improvements to clients in the UK.I’ve now joined the US sales team at Capital Refractories, covering Ohio, Indiana and Michigan, where I apply this technical expertise to support clients, address refractory challenges, and grow our presence in foundry and metal melting applications.
