ABOUT PAUL HAN

Operational teams see me as a \"tech guy\", and engineers think I\'m too \"business-y\". For much of my career, I\'ve teetered, wondering whether intrapreneurship or software architecture/implementation is my strength. Well, the verdict isn\'t out yet. I\'m just as comfortable giving a presentation in a board room as I am doing a detailed review on a pull request.Despite a trove of friends and family suggesting that I get a Computer Science degree, I found myself at business school for my Bachelor\'s.\"A CEO is a CTO\'s boss,\" would be a tongue-in-cheek way of describing my decision criteria, but what can I say? I was a highschooler. Despite my career eventually turning its trajectory back towards the engineering end of technology, I\'m still business-minded in the way I approach problems. I aim for net value over peak performance. I steer people over projects. I track towards goals over deadlines. Obviously, none of the above is mutually exclusive (far from it actually), but anyone whose tried to bridge business cohorts with their corresponding engineering ones have exerienced this divergence in priority. That being said, I can walk the walk when it comes to technical solutions and many things adjacent. The majority of my career has been data-centric, but I\'m not in foreign territory when it comes to full stack development or DevOps. I practically live with my head in docs, and in my free time you\'ll find me trying out all things OSS.
