ABOUT PAUL SCHUTTENBELT
Currently working as a lecturer at the International School of Management (University of Thai Chamber of Commerce, UTCC)) and as a consultant for UNICEF on Football [Sport] and WASH’s interventions in selected countries in the East Asia and Pacific Region. In addition, also developing digital Heritage walks in Bangkok and the region. Recently moved to Bangkok and started working as a consultant in Football for Development and being a Strategic Director for Urban Discovery in Asia, after working for almost 2 years in New York, working as a Director Club Development for New York\'s oldest youth soccer club with Norwegian Roots, SC Gjøa, responsible for Networking, Marketing, Fundraising, Community and Organizational Development. Before that, in New Delhi I worked as the director of Premier Sport International (PSI) a vocational sports academy focusing on youth sport, partnerships and development. I hold a Masters in Sports Management of the Johan Cruyff Institute in Barcelona and another masters in Planning and Management. I have worked in sports, planning, and management for over 20 years in Asia, Africa, and the Netherlands. I hold various European coaching licenses. I worked in Hanoi Vietnam between 2005 and 2012 and set-up the Urban Solutions Regional office in South East Asia. I also founded the Hanoi Youth Football League which grew from 150 children to children in less than 3 years. In January 2012 I relocated to New Delhi India where I set up the Delhi Youth League along similar lines as the Hanoi Youth Football League. I also set up Premier Sports International (PSI) private limited a company focusing on youth sports and development. Finally, I am a very pragmatic and entrepreneurial person, a good team player and I have proven excellent communication and inter personal skills. I have excellent presentation skills and I enjoy working in multi-sectoral teams with professionals of various cultural backgrounds. I am often called an “achiever”.
