Responsible to oversee all Mazak Applications Engineering groups located across North America to support Mazak customer and sales projects. This includes reviewing customer specific parts to make recommendations for best Mazak CNC machine tools and options to satisfy their manufacturing needs, perform cycle time and process development studies, develop turnkey proposals to fully set up and program Mazak CNC machine tools and automation solutions to produce customer specific parts, provide program and operator training, and to support regional Mazak Sales and Distributor events / open houses and trade show events. This position requires ability to negotiate between Sales, Service, Engineering, 3rd party suppliers, Japanese counterparts, and ultimately the end customers in both pre and post sales scenarios. Also responsible to recruit, train and foster new Applications and Software Development engineers, support the ongoing development of new machine models and options, and to identify then develop strategic partnerships for collaborative development projects.
