About Paul Ridder
As a Process/Mechanical Engineering team lead with EAD, I work with a team of engineers, coordinating projects across disciplines, managing work loads, and coaching my team to live our companies core values of High Character, Owning the Outcome, Positive Mindset, and Encouraging Successful Teams, or HOPE. IGNITE PATHWAYS, located in Woodbine, IA is a career and technical learning academy serving the southwest Iowa area. Students have access to dual credit opportunities, industry certifications, and are given the knowledge and skills to be prepared for life after high school. After building this program for a year and a half, I stepped away from my leadership role, but continue to teach as an IGNITE and IWCC adjunct. As the Director of Engineering for Warrior Manufacturing, I led the company’s product development, engineering, and order processing for our material handling department, leading a team of engineers and designers to meet our customer’s needs. I also worked hand in hand with our company’s sales, operations, and executive departments to ensure everyone was moving in the same direction. Warrior’s work ranges from designing equipment for new facilities, to upgrading existing systems to newer, safer technology.Prior to joining Warrior, I worked for Intersystems and GSI as Engineering and Product Managers. Throughout my career, I have continually worked to improve processes, procedures, and designs to improve repeatability and efficiency throughout my organization, and the facilities of my clients. Over the last decade I have been fortunate enough to work with a wide variety of companies in the grain, fertilizer, wood pellets, milling and aggregate industries, such as Louis Dreyfus, Cargill, Bunge, CHS, Enviva, General Mills, Ardent Mills, and ADM.I have always been passionate about learning and then applying my knowledge in different applications. I enjoy all aspects of my job, but specifically love it when a project comes together and all the pieces fit. Especially when that project required stepping outside of my team’s comfort zone and growing our abilities.I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska Lincoln and have been a licensed professional engineer since December of 2012.I am always interested in hearing from former colleagues, managers, or just interesting individuals. Feel free to contact me if you\'d like to connect.
