ABOUT PAUL RICHARDS

A highly experienced leader of socially driven organisations, helping people to have somewhere to call home.Currently Chief Operating Officer of ARC, a homeless services provider based in Somerset. Helping people to get a roof over their head and providing the support they need to move beyond homelessness and on to better things is of fundamental importance and ARC work hard, doing this every day. Previously at Orbit’s keeping customers safe in a portfolio of affordable, good quality homes, delivering high quality services and improving standards and sustainability. Has managed every aspect of a social landlord business, leading all customer and asset management related teams.Has set up and led strong governance of the association. This includes creating strong award winning resident engagement recognised by TPAS as sector leading. Significant leasehold property management experience also gained from a period as Senior Director for FirstPort Property. And further social housing experience as Director of Housing for Housing21, an older persons social housing provider.Prior to this, a career spent in a variety of customer service, operational and transformation roles for British Gas (service operations and change), The AA (change, digital and Call Centres) and Homeserve Gas (Operations MD). Also has experience as a Non Executive Director for Merlin Housing Association and as a Trustee for Brass Bands England.
