ABOUT PAUL PRICE
Assistant Professor of Biology who specializes using teaching innovation in the classroom and teaching labs to improve student success and retention. I am currently using a classroom-lab-classroom model to integrate hundreds of students into my research objectives. My research focuses on using molecular biology and biochemistry to understand the physiology underlying host-microbe and microbe-microbe interactions, including research into rhizobium-legume interactions and induction of natural products from silent biosynthetic gene clusters. I received a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology and Microbial Pathogenesis from Washington University in St. Louis before completing a NSF-supported Post-doctoral Fellowship at Brigham Young University. I currently teach at Eastern Michigan University.
