I am responsible for purchasing all materials coming into the business and their distribution to the shopfloor for manufacturing. • Maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers with a view of obtaining the highest quality, best lead times and the most competitive pricing. • I very much enjoy working with our IT department to improve the purchasing system and have been successful in introducing many system changes; making forecasting and purchasing far more efficient, and meeting the objective set of reducing the value of stock held whilst still ensuring that we meet our customers delivery dates. • Ensuring all suppliers are FSC or PEFC compliant to maintain the chain of custody.
