The National Association of Long-Term Care Volunteers (NALTCV) is a not-for-profit organization that provides training for people who volunteer in long-term care communities. In addition, the NALTCV seeks out and promotes resources and programs that support people living in long-term care communities. Mission Statement The NALTCV’s mission is to: 1) Educate a volunteer workforce that makes a positive and measurable impact on the quality of care and quality of life of the long-term care resident, 2) Coordinate with existing volunteer efforts that are serving in long-term care s, 3) Spotlight the value of long-term care volunteers, 4) Research the efficacy of long-term care volunteers to impact both the quality of care and quality of life of the people living and working in long-term care. Vision Statement The National Association of Long-Term Care Volunteers (NALTCV) is recognized and embraced by long-term care providers as a valuable resource for increasing community awareness and engagement through well-trained, credentialed volunteers who go on to provide meaningful support for and collaborate with professional long-term care staff to improve the quality of life for the people living and working in long-term care.
