ABOUT PAUL OGBURN

I am the founder and Managing Director of Paul Ogburn Consultancy Ltd, specialising in attraction, cultural, and heritage enterprise. A leader in the cultural sector, I held the role of Retail Director for more than ten years for Tate Commerce, during which time I actively supported and coached the commercial arms of some smaller galleries through consultancy and the Tate+ partnership programme, including the Arnolfini in Bristol and Turner Contemporary in Margate I hav been a guest speaker at numerous ACE conferences and ‘View from the Top’, and was a guest speaker for the Netherland museums, taking part in their conferences, speaking in Amsterdam and Belgium. I was also invited by the American Alliance of Museums to be a guest speaker at their conference in Washington DC. Paul’s broad commercial acumen was acquired across a variety of senior roles and across multiple retail sectors and demographics, including high street, retail parks, department stores and the cultural sector with Tate Commerce. Paul’s enviable reputation and track record within the cultural sector enabled him to launch his leading consultancy in November 2020, providing an extensive range of services, specialising in reviewing existing and developing robust business plans and strategies, support with brand and audience alignment, income generation, operational efficiencies, and financial sustainability.
