Reporting directly to Director level I have overall responsibility and accountability for the complete Engineering function across multiple state of the art, fully automated Warehouses.A results orientated Engineer with a unique background working at every level from an indentured Engineering Apprenticeship to over 16 years Managerial experience in a FMCG environment, ensuring the delivery of a best in class engineering function while delivering diverse and complex turnkey projects.Achievements• Demonstrable experience leading an Engineering function, delivering effective strategies, policies, processes and systems to ensure that all Legislative, Environmental, Health and Safety, Engineering and quality standards are adhered to.• Currently managing an Engineering team of 20 Managers (direct reports) and over 260 Engineering staff.• Responsible for developing the appropriate organisational structure, resource planning and culture to support the business objectives and report against Operational and KPI\'s• Prepare Engineering budgets and forecasts including all Capital expenditure proposals.• Direct and drive implementation of Lean business strategy and drive Continuous Improvement.• Verifiable track record in delivering significant Capital projects including complex automated systems from idea to completion• Delivery and fit out new automated warehouses with operational footprints over £1million SqFt and capital budgets of £70 million.• Successful delivery of cost / Energy reduction schemes with ROI of 2 years.• Excellent pro-active management style with the ability to engage, develop and coach at all levels within the team.• Highly motivated individual who thrives on delivering results on time and budget without compromising on quality.• Resilient, optimistic character who responds well to pressure while maintaining a calm temperament at all times.• Excellent communication skills, conversing easily from board level to shop floor.
