About Paul O.
Paul Oppenheim is an investor with research and portfolio management experience across public and private markets. He is trained as a generalist investor across market caps, and has expertise in technology and media. Paul began his career with Robertson Stephens in San Francisco on the Branded Food equity research team launching coverage of Kellogg, Dean Foods, and Dreyer’s Ice Cream. Paul then joined the Institutional Investor ranked Internet team, and provided coverage of early Internet leaders including AOL, Yahoo, and Gemstar. In he was asked to start the firm\'s European media practice, and relocated to London with primary responsibility for Pay-TV companies BSkyB, NTL, and Telewest. Paul joined OMT Capital in 2005 following graduation from business school. OMT Capital was founded in 1998 by an Institutional Investor All Star Analyst at First Boston from 1969 to 1985. Paul focused as a generalist on finding high quality small and mid-cap public equities for a long-only and long-short fund. In 2007, Paul relocated to New York to join the private equity fund at Galleon. Paul sourced, conducted due diligence, and served as board observer for eleven private investments. He was asked to manage the portfolio during the firm\'s wind-down. In 2011, Paul joined Diker Management / Unterberg Capital, a fundamental public equity fund, as Senior Research Analyst, and was promoted to Portfolio Manager in 2012. Paul led investments in technology, media, and consumer with a focus on high quality businesses and management teams that can increase value over a multi-year time horizon. Paul joined Graticule Asset Management Asia as a Managing Director in 2018, and currently focuses on technology investing in software, semiconductors, and hardware. Paul is an Eagle Scout and CFA Charterholder. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and their two daughters.
