    Led mechanical and electrical design for prototype surgical training simulator with single board computer (Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, and UDOO Bolt). Designed PCB for power distribution and sourced components for displays, touchscreen overlays, and cameras.• Developed C++ software with OpenGL on Linux to improve navigational system that tracks surgical instruments using stereo IR cameras, accelerometers, gyros, magnetometers, Arduinos, and Madgwick / Kalman filters.• Created mechanical and optical design for surgical training simulator that tracks suturing needle with camera, and sourced components for image sensors, lenses, diffusers, and lighting.• Led mechanical, electrical, and C# software design for automation machine with precision laser displacement profilometer and stepper motor for production part inspection and sourced components.• Wrote 5-axis G-code for CNC laser welder with vision correction using Cognex In-Sight Explorer, and C# plug-in for visualizing toolpaths in SolidWorks.• Implemented AI algorithms in Python to forecast company sales.• Designed CNC milling fixtures and used nonlinear FEA to design stamping dies for manufacturing electrosurgical devices.• Designed precision electronic device with optical interrupter, PCB, and LED lights for production inspections.• Improved design and fabrication of plastic injection molded parts and Metal Injection Molding (MIM) parts.• Other technologies used include Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), 3D scanner, vision system, force transducer, optical comparator, and Coordinate-measuring machine (CMM).• Other software used includes SolidWorks, Python, Octave, Mathematica, and Minitab.• Provided engineering mentorship to team members, reviewed and approved designs and drawings, managed intern, and assessed technical skills for prospective employees in interviews.
