ABOUT PAUL N.
The views expressed are my own and not those of either the U.S. State Department or the USG.)Over the course of my career, I\'ve focused on three areas, most often at the same time:(1) foreign policy and international development;(2) the digital economy, FinTech, and the technologies, firms, and business models that make up these sectors; and (3) the associated policy, legal, regulatory frameworks that either promote or imperil achievement of positive outcomes. So what outcomes, exactly, do I care about? Vibrant, competitive markets that sustain responsible innovation and fair treatment of consumers/MSMEs and the poor. Improved equity, empowerment, and resilience. Good governance. These outcomes don\'t just happen but demand continual attention and commitment, and through my work, I\'m motivated to do my part.If the above topics aren\'t your cup of tea, I\'m also always happy to talk about that time I won a hunk of Swiss cheese for getting 3rd place in a 5 kilometer run in Monroe, Wisconsin. Or about the time I crashed 3 times - in the same spot - during a single 5 kilometer Nordic ski race.
