ABOUT PAUL MCCLELLAND

Paul has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry with 20 years working as a building inspector across Local Authority and Approved Inspectors sectors. Paul has specialised in working within the high-rise residential sector undertaking compliance oversight on some of the largest residential schemes in England and Wales. Paul has completed a masters degree in fire safety engineering achieving a grade of distinction with his dissertation which was on the effects of electric vehicle fires in enclosed car parks. Paul also has practical firefighting experience from working at West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue service (WYFRS) as a retained fire fighter.Paul is a Chartered Fellow of the Association of Building Engineers and experienced Building Control Professional, with extensive expertise in the interpretation and application of the Building Regulations. With his knowledge of the Building Regulations, Paul and JPI Compliance has assisted clients nationally with a consistent application of the requirements of the Regulations and supporting British and European standards.
