Moved to the Global Controls and Compliance team (GCC) reporting into the Head of Global Controls. Responsible for shaping and embedding our Key Financial Controls (KFC’s) framework across Finance including all Tesco business units. Strengthening Tesco’s control environment is a key objective, particularly considering the upcoming Sarbanes-Oxley style regulation in the UK.Key Responsibilities:UK SOX Programme• Working with IT controls team for successful SOX delivery: 1. SOD/Role mining control reviews – working with relevant teams to ensure the right roles are assigned to the right colleagues ensuring relevant controls in place including JML and process documentation 2. Automation of internal controls – review of existing manual controls, prioritise and work with teams to deliver automated controls to save time and improve efficiencies• Reviewing the design of our key financial controls through process walkthroughs and discussions with control owners and Global Process Owners• Designing our annual control monitoring programme and ongoing review and update to our internal control methodology• Reviewing control testing performed by junior resourcesFinance change• Strategy for non-financial reporting such as ESG Reporting: 1. How do we continue to improve our assurance - what building blocks need to be put in place – processes, systems, training and reporting2. Review, prioritisation with the business and delivery of key control gaps identified through the Deliotte assurance process Data Governance• Stand up a data governance strategy which drives value to the business function• Continuation and delivery of data quality reporting including DI One dashboards• Data lineage documentationStakeholder Management/Engagement• Preparing reporting, including to Senior Management and the Audit Committee, on the results of our control testing• Cyber security - coordinate/lead for Finance
