Accomplished business leader with 30 years of experience within operations, commercial and more recently as Managing Director at International Timber. Wide-ranging experience working for global brand within manufacturing / merchanting sectors supplying the construction industry. A visionary leader building cultures that support the service-profit chain mantra, leading commercial strategy, and operations, driving behaviours that enhance productivity, improving employee & customer satisfaction and profitability. Results orientated matched by the determination to ‘do what we say’ and ‘meet and exceed our promises’. As the Managing Director at International Timber, led one of the UK\'s largest specialist timber importer and distributors, delivering high-quality products and services to a diverse range of sectors and markets. Also led the transformation of the company\'s culture and processes, enhancing its sustainability, efficiency, and profitability. Developed our 5-year business plan, culminating in the presentation of that strategy to potential bidders as the business was sold, along with Jewson, at the end of 2022. Post business sale led International Timber’s separation from Saint-Gobain and integration into the STARK business. As Commercial Director at International Timber, managing the sales, marketing, and supply chain functions, established the company as a market leader in timber solutions.Extensive experience in the utilities sector, having served as the Sales Director Utilities at Saint-Gobain PAM UK, where they secured and delivered large-scale contracts for water infrastructure projects and framework agreements for material supply.5 years working in South Africa, initially as a Sales Director developing our offers for large scale ductile-iron pipe contracts and concluding with the appointment as General Manager, leading the South-Africa PAM business for domestic sales.Prior to working within commercial functions, began career as a project engineer, followed by operational functions and within various managerial positions across several UK sites.Looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to apply commercial and operational leadership, strategic insight to a customer orientated, dynamic and innovative organization.
