ABOUT PAUL MACLAREN

Passionate, driven and results-driven professional with over ten years of commercial experience and management across the construction sector, both in the UK and Sydney, Australia. A full member of the IET, holding a BSc (Hons) degree in Electrical Engineering, and working towards MRICS, I also hold experience and qualifications in Contracting Management and Electrical Installation. I have been fortunate enough to experience, and be responsible for, an extensive range of different projects and teams across the UK and Australia. This allows me to confidently, and competently, manage and prepare commercial proposals for any type and value of project - no matter how specialist. I have a proven track record of successful and profitable projects, whilst showing drive and determination to produce accurate and detailed cost reports whilst ensuring the end client is satisfied. With knowledge in Construction Industry Contract Law and a proven track record of successful man management and negotiating, my strengths are best utilised in adapting to any given situation, whilst managing and driving a team towards pro-active goals. I hold extensive knowledge of Contracting Procedures as well as various components of electrical design, and feel my strong interpersonal skills help create trusting relationships with end-users and clients. I enjoy working as part of a team or individually, I am extremely driven and have a strong desire to progress my career with the aim of achieving my long term goals within the construction industry. I am a firm believer in the development of individuals within a team, with clear lines of communication and agreed expectations, whilst also allowing creativity and growth.
