I had lived in Newark, CA since 2004. I had just moved to Oakland. In Vovember 2023, I created FAT.Homes LLC with the intention of teaching people how to flip at least 1 property a year. Instead of teaching people, I started buying properties. However, instead of buying, rehabbing and reselling 1 property at a time, I bought several and in the course of that I made a ton of mistakes and made a ton of people unhappy with me. People know, like and trust me. Raising money to buy real estate has never been a problem for me. However, what caused me and my investors pain was that I couldn\'t perform. Not only did I buy several properties at a time, I also hired the wrong people. One such problems was 5301 Brann Street, Oakland, which I had bought with Raj. Our cost basis ended up being When we put the property back on the market, after several months of it being rehabbed, the highest written offer we received was Needless to say that we took it off the market. Eventually, I relocated from Newark to 5301 Brann Street. Eventhough I had sold 6 properties in Maxwell Park, I\'d say that I hardly knew the place until I moved here and started walking the neighborhood. I discovered this huge subdivision was built in the 1920\'s and 30\'s and was designed for middle-class families. More than 100 years on, these buildings still stand. Some are taken good care of, a few need some TLC. That\'s how Curb Appeal was birthed: How can residents across America, across the world take pride in their homes, their block, their neighborhood, their town, city, country, world? How can they be ambassadors of goodwill?
