ABOUT PAUL KILEY
I design electrical systems for critical applications. I have worked in the electrical power industry for 20 years and have completed projects for various clients, including commercial, industrial, and mission critical. I have designed and managed systems in highly regulated sectors with complex technology needs. I have also managed a team of up to 5 engineers in taking projects from concept through execution. As technology and building codes change, what I find interesting is finding tailored and customized designs that specifically answer clients needs and requirements. A few of my projects include: o Chicago Public Schools High School MEP Upgrade (2023) – designed electrical distribution upgrades to support new mechanical air handling equipment, boiler system, space heaters, and plumbing equipment, including new exit signs and incidental lighting and lighting controls. o UPS Upgrades, Illinois Capital Development Board (2023) – design development for multiple UPS upgrades supporting theatrical IT rack equipment and inverter upgrades for life-safety loads. o South Battery Park City Resiliency, NY (2021) – design development and construction documents for new sf community center facility, including power, lighting, and fire alarm, and site electrical for surrounding park upgrades. o Large Scale Solar Energy Systems Projects, Multiple Sites, NY (2021)- designed, coordinated and specified DC and AC electrical distribution from 5MW PV array modules to overhead utility facilities. o Electrical Base Building Upgrades, Bayfront Condominiums, FL (2021) – electrical schematic design and design development for core building electrical system upgrades. o Data Centers (Confidential Client)(2019)- performed arc flash hazard studies for multiple long-term greenfield data center projects, each with installed capacity on order of magnitude of 30MW for 4 buildings. o Healthcare Call Center Office (2018)- planned, designed, and administered critical power upgrades through construction of the sq.ft. leased space for a call center and prescription fulfillment. o New Academic Building for Notre Dame (2016)- load analysis, development of power distribution system, electrical design, and power requirements through the construction for the sq. ft. 4 story building of Jenkins and Nanovich Halls Areas of Expertise: Professional Electrical Engineering Design Systems Project Engineering Building Engineering Standby Generators
