Member of a firewall administration group. I perform an operational role of day-to-day support, as well as level 2 engineering. Proficient with NATs. Current environment uses quadruple NATs as a security mechanism when entering/exiting the internal transport. Administer 500+ Cisco ASA chassis which includes 5525 and Experienced using the 5585 in a cluster configuration. Assisted in the project to design and migrate to the 5585 cluster design. Conducted numerous DR exercises flipping active BU environments over to the DR location successfully during bi-annual exercises. Conducted firewall support during numerous migrations, moving entire environments from one firewall to another consolidating chassis. Participated in many high visibility projects providing successful firewall support. Currently participating in a project utilizing VMWare virtual firewalls. Moving from the current RDP jumpbox solution to a VMWare virtual desktop. This will be a Software Designed Networking Solution (SDN). I’m providing firewall support inside the VMWare environment. Experienced in providing successful firewall support securing complicated cloud environments. Rule remediation using Firemon. Rule remediation by analyzing the running configuration. Proficient with Visio network designs.
