As a National Speed Awareness Trainer (under the NDORS scheme) responsibility for delivering educational, non-judgmental courses to drivers referred by the police for low-level offences such as speeding. The role requires strong presentation and interpersonal skills for classroom and online delivery. Trainers receive comprehensive development, are licensed by UKROEd, and deliver courses designed to change attitudes and behaviour to improve road safety.Key Aspects of the Role include:Course Delivery: Conduct National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) courses, including the National Speed Awareness Course, face-to-face or online. Participant Focus: Educate reluctant participants on the consequences of their driving behaviour to motivate them to comply with speed limits and drive more considerately. Educational & Non-Judgmental: Emphasise an educational approach rather than a punitive one, creating a positive and constructive learning environment. Collaboration: Work with course providers and police forces to achieve best practices in road safety education.
