ABOUT PAUL HANSEN
At heart, I am a teacher, storyteller, and life-long learner. As a Simulation Trainer at Indiana University Health, I help train nursing and medical students as they prepare for careers in the medical field. I also work as a tech in the Virtual Hospital and curate the content for the IUHealth Simulation Center LinkedIn page. At Butler University, I teach Acting for Dancers, helping Butler Ballet students develop skills to become more rounded artists. Seeing the spark in my students as they learn new things about themselves and what they can achieve is wildly fulfilling.Working with Fonseca Theatre Company allows me to help carry on the \"theater for all\" and \"social justice forward\" legacy of one of my mentors, Bryan Fonseca. The strong vision for the future of the organization held by current leadership is thrilling. As a co-author, I conceptualized, researched and wrote a resource for the arts sector called \'Raising the Curtain: Technology Success Stories from Performing Arts Leaders and Artists\'(Wiley, 2024). My next book delves into the use of technology in healthcare. My experience in multiple marketing arenas (including for- and not-for-profit organizations), product design/development, teaching, and professional acting have made me well-rounded, bringing both left and right sides of my brain to all that I do. That means I\'m highly detail- and budget-oriented, while also being extremely creative in project management and problem solving. My true passion is connecting people and projects, and creating opportunities that lift everyone up and set us all up for success.
