About Paul Hamilton

I\'m an Electrical Engineer with a strong background in RF systems, systems integration, and mission operations—currently serving as the SpaceX Vehicle Integration Lead for the International Space Station program office. In this role, I lead technical and programmatic integration for crewed missions to the International Space Station, acting as the primary interface between NASA and SpaceX. My work spans hardware readiness, risk management, real-time operations, and cross-functional coordination across international and commercial stakeholders. Prior to this, I completed a year-long assignment in the ISS Chief Engineer’s Office, where I supported cross-cutting systems engineering efforts involving risk management, interface integration, and anomaly resolution across multiple flight elements.Earlier in my career, I spent nearly eight years focused on RF systems engineering—starting in the lab and progressing through increasingly complex integration roles. My experience includes antenna design, fabrication, and test; RF characterizations across GPS, Wi-Fi, S-band, and Ku-band systems; and hands-on work with SDRs, spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and channel emulators. I’ve supported hardware through component-level, box-level, and vehicle-in-the-loop (VITL) test campaigns.I’m also familiar with qualifying hardware for the space environment, including considerations for radiation tolerance, thermal vacuum, multipaction, corona, and single-event effects. My experience spans both technical execution and high-level system trade studies, making me comfortable operating at the intersection of engineering and mission success.I’m passionate about solving tough problems in aerospace and excited to support the next generation of space-qualified systems.
