ABOUT PAUL GIULIETTI
An educated and experienced artist, writer, composer, performer, researcher, data scientist, and justice advocate. I attained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from Huron University College. At Huron, I studied social and behavioural psychology with an emphasis in ethics, research design, logic, and conceptual and statistical analysis. I received practical experience as a researcher on humans and animals, and completed my Honours Thesis. I have multiple publications in psychological science, human and animal behaviour, and political discourse. Huron University College developed my skills in communication, leadership, collaboration, reasoning, analysis, performing, and perspective-taking. I have since applied these skills throughout my career and my many other initiatives. My time as a Personal Support Worker at L\'Arche Canada provided me with insight on social justice issues, an increased awareness of sensitivity and empathy, and an appreciation for the role of community. At L\'Arche, I further improved my leadership and collaboration skills while applying my knowledge in human behaviour, ethics, and logical reasoning. At L\'Arche, I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in art, community-building and advocating for social justice. Since my term at L\'Arche, I have founded McCools Music - the live and recorded music of Jules McCools. As an award-winning musical artist, I book live performances, manufacture and distribute media and merchandise, and manage online communications through social media. Jules McCools\' 2020 debut EP, My Battery Is Low & It\'s Getting Dark, is available to stream and purchase worldwide. The EP featured the lead single,\"Encore\" which received the Oshawa Music Award for Best Music Video that year. McCools Music contributes to the local music community and serves as an agent to promote social justice. I am also the Co-Founder and Assistant Manager of Cans For Change - the largest not-for-profit campaign fundraiser for The Durham Black Students\' Network.
