ABOUT PAUL FRANCIS

With over 25 years experience in the property industry – having worked in Building Surveying and Project Management in London for 12 years, I moved into the allied but more specialist field of Design Management and Specification Consulting in 2007. I advised Clients on Design Liability, Workflow, Co-ordination, Collaboration, Management and the delivery of specification documentation in different formats to suit the specific project type and work stage.I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with teams delivering projects such as the Apple Campus 2(Cupertino), MECD (Manchester), Trees (Shanghai), Belfast University, and Grangegorman TU (Dublin) among many others.I was part of the development team facilitating the NBS Create and Chorus platforms to enable greater collaboration of Specifications in the BIM environment.During the pandemic, I adopted the role of project manager on behalf of the DWP Rapid Estate Expansion Plan (REEP) delivering a number of Job Centre fit-out projects across the region as part of the Government response.I have recently been leading and supporting multi-disciplinary design teams with multiple and complex high-value Government Construction projects predominately at pre-construction stage/s. I enjoy a challenge, and have a strong analytical skill-set, together with well-rounded knowledge in development, refurbishment, fit out and maintenance. This is backed up by experience working with public and private sector clients whilst also an accountable team leader of over 10 years within a global infrastructure consultancy.My experience covers pre and post contract construction services across all markets in the fields of Project management, Building Surveying, Procurement, Specification Consulting, and Design Management.
