ABOUT PAUL EDWARDS
An aviation leader with extensive and varied experience particularly in Powered-Lift operations, civilian type certification, change management and safety management. Back at the coal face as a Vertical Aerospace test pilot and trying to convince folk that I can ‘pass’ as a Flight Test Engineer (its a tall order)! I could not pass up the opportunity to help lead UK aerospace back to the glory days when we sat as equals on the top table of this industry. My 10 years on the AW609 tilitrotor project as a test pilot and leader in various roles including compliance and safety has proved to be a very useful experience! Prior to that, at the Empire Test Pilot School, I led change programs and managed curriculum and instructor staff. Other roles include icing and helo-ship interface flight testing on a variety of aircraft types including Sea King, Merlin and Chinook as well as commercial VVIP (S-76) operations and long-range maritime Search and Rescue.
