I have a passion for making a difference by creating functional solutions to complex problems by bringing concepts to reality. My father grew up old-school, in another era. He always said,\" You broke it - you fix it!\" after my mini-bike, snowmobile, or junker car broke down. He proceeded to teach me how to do so but always made sure I asked the right questions to figure out every step of the process first. It certainly helped that he built and owned a machine design and manufacturing business with a complete machine shop. During my engineering career, I\'ve held several roles in New Product Development and Global Operations Manufacturing Engineering. With extensive knowledge of design parameters and manufacturing processes, I\'ve had the responsibility to develop and optimize product designs for manufacture, manage global standards and strategic initiatives as well as conceive and implement innovative developments into Greenfield Plant process equipment layouts. I am an agile goal-driven analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills who is inspired by challenging opportunities and owning complex projects. I am highly collaborative with demonstrated history to quickly cultivate trusting relationships at all levels. I enjoy partnering with cross-functional groups and can readily adapt to new or changing project needs and/or priorities. I am passionate about the quality of work I provide, take pride in developing robust products and processes, and gain satisfaction in combining technologies to consistently generate original solutions to problems. The company employs more than people at 38 facilities worldwide, generating revenues of US$4 billion in 2019.Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, responsibilities include:• Verify and maintain accurate Plant Equipment Layouts and building floor plans of Nemak USA facilities.• Develop automated high-volume production line equipment layout proposals for design reviews. • Collaborate with management, vendors, and all stakeholders to obtain process optimization for new product line implementations.• Acquire Autodesk AutoCAD 2021, Mechanical & Factory suite, and Siemens NX software knowledge for manufacturing equipment design and efficient 2D-3D Plant Layout developments.• Investigate current Work Order Change management system, integrated TeamCenter CAD file storage utilization, and evaluate Autodesk Integrator software acquisition for AutoCAD use in TeamCenter.• Develop Plant Layout specific approval routing and drawing release process.
