ABOUT PAUL DONVITO
I manage the Washington, DC office of the New England based Architectural Window Corporation, overseeing sales, design and installation. Located in Georgetown, our team specializes in historically accurate replacement windows, doors, shutters and shop fronts. With over twenty years experience, we design, fabricate and replicate historic exterior features built to the highest standards demanded both by discerning clients and some of the toughest historic commissions on the East Coast. As a longtime preservationist, I spearheaded the creation of the Foxhall Village Historic District as well as worked to landmark a number of significant structures across the city. For more than a decade I have partnered with the DC Historic Preservation Office to help homeowners, architects and contractors navigate the city’s preservation process. I have also renovated and restored a number of historic homes using both modern and traditional construction techniques. Now, after many years in TV production, with two Emmys and a Peabody Award on the shelf, and having written, produced and directed hundreds of hours of programming for Discovery, National Geographic, History Channel, Animal Planet, just to name a few, I am pursuing another dream: to help preserve Washington, DC’s proud architectural history.
