ABOUT PAUL DOMINGUEZ GUTIERREZ
As a Senior Scientist at Resilience, a biotechnology company that develops innovative solutions for human health, I leverage my 15+ years of research experience and PhD in Molecular Immunology to design and conduct experiments on kidney stone pathogenesis and prevention. I apply my skills in cell culture, oxalate purification, and oxalate oxidase purification to investigate the molecular mechanisms of immune responses and inflammation in kidney stone formation and treatment. Previously, I was an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Florida - Department of Urology, where I made several discoveries on the role of ultra-low molecular weight HA and calcium oxalate in modulating macrophage polarization and function. I also developed organotypic tissue culture of bladder and kidney from human, mouse, and pig, and mentored students, postdocs, and clinical fellows. I have published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals, and have contributed to the advancement of knowledge and understanding of molecular immunology in various diseases. My mission is to support Resilience\'s vision of creating a healthier and more resilient world by collaborating with diverse and talented teams, learning new technologies and methods, and solving challenging problems.
