ABOUT PAUL DENHAM

An enthusiastic committed Process/Technical Safety Engineer with over 27 years experience gained within a wide range of sectors (Industrial Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Refining, Petrochemicals, Oil and Gas). A highly skilled facilitator of formal safety studies (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, PHSSER, Process Safety Reviews). A capable leader of project teams and single discipline teams with a track record of delivery on major compliance projects and meeting business needs and developing and implementing ALARP and BAT solutions in single projects or as part of site wide improvements,I have developed and conducted a significant amount of Process Safety Training aimed at front line operators, managers, graduates, designers and regulators alike for a number of clients.I am a quick learner with a focus on practicable, pragmatic solutions to technical problems aimed at putting the front line operator or persons at risk first and imagining myself or a family member in their shoes to minimise the risk to them to acceptable levels.I have a wide range of experience and competencies in addition to those listed above such as safety case update and development, operational risk assessment, consequence modelling, QRA, auditing, process design, incident investigation, developing leading and lagging process safety performance indicators (PSPIs), hazardous area classification, dropped object studies, EERA, Fire & Explosion Risk Analysis.I am committed to life-long learning and CPD as well as in supporting and developing my colleagues and direct reports to the best of my abilities.
