WORK HISTORY
Stock Controller @Euro Foods Group
Expectations and Roles:Brought in by the company to help resolve serious stock control and inventory management issues, inclusive of date control and accuracy during despatch. During this role I have been asked to run the day shift, as control the total end to end flow of stock, overseeing the picking shift and sales departments against recorded credits. The management of training and development for all staff in line with best practice stocks systems.Achievements:• The initial full stock take completed in June lost a total of £68k stocks. I stopped the loss by inserting the correct process and count rota as well as train the colleagues up in stock security. By using analysis of the current processes and team managing changes I was able to streamline their stock processes. Ably assisted by solely running the Goods-In shift, accuracy improved through intake by removing issues.• Specific to stock analysis and accuracy was the analysis and KPI pack developed to show, educate and improve the teams work methods. My first full stock take in December resulted in a +£5k gain, the first in the depots history, subsequent counts in Aug 2014 (+£7K), 12 Dec 2014 (+£234) and last year (+2012), with an accuracy improvement of +2% year on year, These unique control methods I developed once I was acclimatised to the company way of working along with analysis and team education has proven to be highly successful. No further mid-term stock takes are required given the regularity and control of location stocks, returned items and credits.• The nest stages in improvement were a re-referencing of locations, by product groups to assist assembly in order. Setting key areas against the three key storage methods, Frozen, Chilled and Ambient. Ensuring that the right storage method is applied to the correct stock type and reduction of ambient time for frozen and chilled stocks from delivery to storage.• Introduction and control for a new range of Fast Moving Products.
