ABOUT PAUL RICHARDSON
I am a qualified resource geologist with 14 years of industry experience. My first 8 years were spent working at the world class Cortez Gold Mines operation in Nevada, USA. At Cortez I had the opportunity to model complex ore bodies and work in and around large scale open pit and underground operations. The past 6 years I have worked in a corporate support role providing training and modeling assistance to Barrick operations. I have been privileged to work directly with personnel and resource/reserve models for Goldstrike OP & UG, Cortez Hills OP & UG, Pipeline Complex (most recent Crossroads update), Goldrush, Donlin Gold Project. My current responsibilities include technical support and modeling assistance for Cortez, Goldstrike, Pueblo Viejo, Golden Sunlight, Donlin Gold. I enjoy working with people and problem solving, I am not afraid to test new ideas. The nature of my work requires working across all disciplines related to mining (geology (mine & exploration groups), engineering (long-range, short-range, project stage), open pit & underground grade control & survey, metallurgy, processing groups & assay labs & database managers, even dewatering, environmental and permitting), I love it.
