Prepares discovery requests and responses and assists expert witnesses to prepare testimony and exhibits.• Supervises outside counsel and legal administrative assistant.• Served as interim General Counsel, May-June 2020.• Advised Nominating Committee on searches for Independent Directors and CEO.• Serves as Assistant Corporate Secretary; drafts minutes and prepares materials for Board of Directors and committee meetings.• Prepares and maintains corporate policies and procedures.• Reviews and approves Texas RE announcements, reports, and presentations.• Trains employees and the Board of Directors on ethics, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, antitrust, and corporate governance.From 2010 – 2015 also: • Prosecuted violations of NERC Reliability Standards; oversaw litigation of the first contested case on NERC electric Reliability Standards before the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), the Texas RE Board, NERC, and FERC.• Promoted from Corporate Counsel to Senior Corporate Counsel in November 2012; promoted to Assistant General Counsel in June 2013; and promoted to Deputy General Counsel in April 2021.
