About Paul Cruikshank
Have you ever felt the desire to make a difference? According to recent U.S. surveys, a majority of American adults want to make an impact or at least believe they could if they put their mind to it. I am one of those people who want to be a part of something bigger that supports others and to put this desire into action. In my work, I enjoy helping people that are in need of assistance, while working towards the larger goal of creating change. I believe it is my number one strength of connecting with people, regardless of cultural difference. As someone who describes their career focus as “people-centric”, I find it easy working with others and understanding them. However, I have a wide array of technical skills in and around the office, such as being computer savvy with software such as Microsoft Office and Canva, to understanding operational logistics by monitoring supply inventory and budgets, plus assisting in event planning. I work to create a welcoming and friendly work environment for both my coworkers and clients. Having graduated college in 2021, I studied Political Science, with a concentration in International Studies and Foreign Affairs, and History, where my primary focus was on the era of decolonization. Even though I have been out of college for four years, I have already gained a lot of experience in the time that I didn’t learn in school, which goes to show that it’s pretty easy for me to learn new skills. Lastly, I excel at moving between tasks of very technicalities an importance, as well as prioritization. My current role has me managing a variety of different responsibilities, such as overseeing our IT vendor, keeping the office supplies well stocked, liaising with the building manager, creating employee accounts in the payroll system, and many more.
