Working on Various Projects including small projects on an oil refinery in South Wales and large Expansion Project on an agrochemical site the North of England. Responsible for the following.• Involved in a column replacement project on an oil refinery including the removal and replacement of existing instrumentation and being responsible for the specification of new instrumentation required for the new column and associated pipework, • Working with the client for an Expansion project and implementing a strategy for the Delta V network architecture of the new communications required for the expansion. • Designing the network architecture for the remote IO panels using associated instruments installed back to these panels, as well locating equipment on using 3D modelling software to allow the safe and efficient installation and running of these systems.• Assigning the Instrument Engineer Graduate daily work, going through requirements and discussing any queries he had, as well as being the focal point for outsourced work which involved daily meetings and the answering of any technical queries they had. Carrying out checks on drawings and documents and coming up with resolutions to any design issues.• The design and specification of new instrumentation required for a new metering skid and the design for the requirements for new Rotork Motorised operated Valves using Rotork Pakscan hardware and software.• All Instrument design deliverables including Cables and IO schedules, Instrument Index’s, Material take off schedules, Network Architecture Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, Cable Routing Diagrams, Control building layouts, Terminations Diagrams, Hook up diagrams, Fibre Network Wiring Diagrams, Volt drop and IS calculations.• All Electrical design deliverables including Cables schedules, Material take off schedules, Cable Block Diagrams, Cable Routing Diagrams, Substation layouts, Single Line Diagrams and Lighting layout diagrams.
