Everything is moving to the cloud and every company/industry has a cloud strategy. Everyone interacts with the cloud daily and these interactions continue to grow exponentially. The cloud is changing the way we access information, interact with others, and plays a key role in our everyday lives.Building a fully sustainable cloud offers a highly complex set of challenges. To be successful, one must possess the ability to deal with significant levels of ambiguity, have a passion for technology, and lead on a global scale. One must fail fast, continually learn, challenge the status quo, solve problems in multiple dimensions, work seamlessly across organizational boundaries and most importantly, put the customer first. Few are chartered with delivering the necessary capacity behind the cloud and even less have a proven track record of doing so at the scale of Microsoft. In support of Microsoft’s bold commitment to be carbon negative by 2030, my current challenge is to reduce cloud supply carbon emissions by 55%. The creation of the Microsoft Carbon Calculator coupled with our Circular Centers, I am creating a cloud that is fully sustainable.I am a highly successful change agent with a proven track record of managing multiple, simultaneous projects and priorities with extensive experience in engineering solutions to meet critical business objectives.
