ABOUT PAUL BROOMHEAD

I have worked in manufacturing and operations for over 30 years, three decades full of mistakes, learning, experience and wisdom. I am a champion of smart operations, lean thinking and constant innovation, guided by the Shingo principles and philosophy.I have gained experience across a diverse range of manufacturing processes, from semiconductors to food, polymers, paper and pharmaceuticals. Each industry has allowed me to add another dimension to my knowledge and has taught me how to adapt processes and systems to create highly reliable and capable production flows.As a supplier to the automotive and aerospace industry I learned the importance of highly regulated environments, and as a direct manufacturer of food and pharmaceutical products I learned the importance of strict compliance on quality, safety, efficacy and consumer confidence.As a senior leader I was able to create innovative and pragmatic strategies in order to mitigate risks and create strong commercial solutions that focused on value added services to the client base.As a coach and mentor I learned the value of individuals and teams, I learned how to cultivate talent and maintain an engaged workforce while delivering strategic plans. Innovative and sustained solutions were born from enthusiastic and motivated teams.I am a constant learner, either through formal courses or harvesting knowledge from those around me who provide influence, guidance and leadership. My experience and learning has given me the skills to appraise operations and quickly identify the potential solutions, my people leadership allows me to develop strong teams to sensitively and passionately deliver those solutions.
