About Patty Dowdy
Growing up, small business was just part of daily life—my dad went from bartender to business owner, and I picked up the love of the hustle early.I spent years in business brokerage, helping National Restaurant Properties grow into a regional player and eventually guiding its sale in 2022. From there I spent an exciting couple of years with the retail-minded geniuses over at Pedal Retail Advisors as well as selling businesses under my own brand, Catbird Brokerage. These days, I stay connected to the brokerage world by mentoring new brokers and cheering on the next generation.In 2024, I fell in love with one of my listings and bought Caffeine & Legends—a fantasy book and beverage subscription with an amazing community of readers. It keeps me close to the scrappy, creative energy of artists and small business owners, which is my favorite place to be.
