About Pat Swanson
I do some of my best thinking when glancing at a lion-themed nesting doll that sits off to the right of my laptop. The doll, to me, is the most versatile and relevant metaphor in business. Over my decade-long career, it’s been a reminder to dig to the heart of a story, to explore the steps of a user experience, to understand the strategic positioning of a company, and more. It’s also, literally speaking, a children’s toy – and that’s certainly a form that it took on many times over the wonderful two years that I spent as a stay-at-home-dad of two.Now resuming my career, I\'m excited to bring aspects of each of those chapters to my next role. While my time at work and in school helped give me a diverse set of professional skills and experiences to build upon, my time at home complemented it by helping me develop the perspective to be an empathetic leader in the years ahead.And, of course, in addition to those intangibles, there\'s that one very tangible trinket that I\'ll be bringing to the role as well.
