About Patrick Zabrocki

During the last seventeen years I have been a planner performing work in a diverse set of disciplines for public and private clients throughout southern California. A majority of my experience has been preparing and managing environmental documents pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for a wide variety of projects including residential developments, renewable energy facilities, hotels, government facilities, and commercial projects. I have also served as contract land use planning staff for several government agencies where I reviewed development plans for consistency for local zoning ordinances, specific plans, and general plans. Also, with a passion for sustainability, I have been fortunate enough to assist in the creation and implementation of “green” policies and operating practices for businesses and government agencies. With a background in wildlife biology I have also prepared biological resources reports, conducted surveys, and performed mitigation monitoring for habitat restoration and construction projects such as a solar farm, golf course and public rail lines. My desire to eagerly contribute in a positive way and to take on new responsibilities has allowed me to gain a diverse career background that demonstrates I learn quickly and take on new challenges with enthusiasm and a willingness to create success through hard work and creative problem-solving.
