Experience
Strategic Procurement Leader Associate Director, Capital & Facilities Procurement
Dec 2025 — Present · Houston, TX, US
In my role at Amgen, I spearhead the Capital Projects, Equipment & Facilities Strategic Sourcing team, ensuring that major capital projects for drug substance (API), drug product, and finished drug product manufacturing are executed safely, on time, and within budget in a highly regulated biologics environment. By engaging early in the project lifecycle with Engineering, Capital Finance, and Manufacturing, I align sourcing strategies with financial objectives and support Amgen’s biotechnology network in reliably delivering complex biologic therapies at scale. My team and I inform and execute enterprise category strategies for capital equipment, construction services, and facility‑related spend across multiple sites. We partner closely with Category Management to provide market intelligence, supplier insights, risk assessments, cost modeling, and sourcing recommendations that shape long‑term category direction. We then operationalize these strategies through end‑to‑end sourcing execution, supplier negotiations, commercial management, and the implementation of contractual and compliance frameworks that ensure continuity, quality, and value.Through proactive supplier engagement, data‑driven decision‑making, and continuous process improvement, we strengthen strategic supplier relationships and enhance resiliency across capital and facilities supply chains. This work directly supports Amgen’s mission to serve patients by ensuring the reliable, cost‑effective, and compliant delivery of the infrastructure and equipment required to produce life‑changing biologic and specialty medicines.
