About Patrick Shankhour

As the Director of Communications & Social Media at Pioneer Charter School of Science (PCSS), I have been leading the online presence and outreach of a network of charter schools that offers STEM education to diverse students in Massachusetts for over seven years. My mission is to enhance the visibility and reputation of PCSS, and to showcase the achievements and stories of our students, staff, and alumni. My core competencies include social media management, creative writing, public relations, event planning, and broadcasting. I have created and curated content for various platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube, reaching thousands of followers and generating positive feedback and engagement. I have also secured and coordinated official visits from state leaders and media outlets, building strong relationships and creating opportunities for collaboration and recognition. Additionally, I have leveraged my broadcasting skills and experience to produce and host a campus-wide sports talk-show during my college years, where I developed my on-air personality, technical proficiency, and guest coordination. I am always eager to learn new skills and explore new opportunities to support the growth and success of PCSS.

   In my role at PCSS, I bear several different responsibilities.\\\\n\\\\nMy biggest responsibility is creating content and managing all PCSS’ social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and Youtube.)\\\\n\\\\nIn addition to managing social media accounts on different platforms, I also propose and secure official campus visits from special guests – usually different state leaders. In the past, a few leaders that I had the pleasure of inviting and acquiring visits with are the Mayor of Everett, State Senators, as well as House Representatives. Through these visits, I have built remarkable relationships with many of these leaders.\\\\n\\\\nAlong with the relationships I have established with our guests, I have also encouraged and strengthened a connection with all the students attending PCSS. My alumni status at PCSS allows me to connect to them, and I have since also become a student mentor.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
